The Actors

Michael Nieto ( Walter Gilman )

Mike is thrilled to be working with such a talented and passionate
group of actors and artists. Mike is a former teaching artist for the
La Jolla Playhouse, improv coach at UCSD, and has performed in various roles in theater and television in San Diego and Los Angeles. His favorite roles include: Cyrano (Cyrano de Bergerac), Cassius (Julius Ceasar), Ulysses (Troillus and Cressida), and Feste (Twelfth Night).

James P. Darvas ( Frank Elwood )

James is overjoyed to be a part of this awesome production!! He has performed in numerous productions, here in San Diego, and back home in Cleveland, Ohio. Thanks for the challenge, Mark...oh, and for the work!!

Kelly Renee Potts ( Keziah Mason )

Kelly is thrilled to be back in the theatre (playing alongside puppets) after working in Italy last year on a lead role in the feature film, Albakiara directed by Stefano Salvati, distributed by Mikado. Born on May 1st - one of the most important dates in the Pagan Celtic Year and modern Witches' calendar  - Kelly feels uniquely destined to play a witch! And the last time she was fortunate enough to appear on stage with a sheep's jaw was as Tink in one of her favorite L.A. shows, Museum directed by Bill Rauch. Kelly holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from USC's Acting Conservatory where she was the recipient of multiple performance based awards and scholarships including the prestigious Jack Nicholson Scholarship and the James and Nony Doolittle Award.

 PHOTO Harrison Myers ( Brown Jenkin/Dombrowski )

He has performed since he was 9 in musical theatre and non-musical theatre in North County, Hillcrest and the southern regions of San Diego, and film in Los Angeles and upstate New York. He loves to draw, play piano, write and sing.

The Production Team

Mark Stephan ( Director )
aka Danger Demon

Mark is thrilled to be working in San Diego theater after returning from New York City and Los Angeles.  His first collaboration with DangerHouse happens also to be his favorite Lovecraft story.  Previous productions include: New Village Arts' inaugural award-winning production of Cindy Lou Johnson's Brilliant Traces, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Psychopathia Sexualis by John Patrick Shanley, Humphrey Nevada by Tom Swimm, Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco, Swell by Craig Abernathy, Sure Thing by David Ives and most recently Bear Story by Jamie Pachino.

Marie Miller ( Producer )
aka Danger Domino

Mastermind - likes painting, puppets, pumpkins, pyrotechnics, pickles, porcupines, popcorn, portals, potions, premonitions, power, prisms, pubs, and the number 13. She would like to thank the color orange.

Melelani Satsuma ( Assistant Director )
aka Danger Doll

Melelani has been a theater rat for many years. Most recently, she acted in Vox Nova's El Jardin Secreto and will be performing a one-woman show for the North Park Theater Festival. She has been completely blown away by the hard work and dedication the cast and crew has shown on this production.

Welton Jones III ( Playwright )
aka Danger Daddy-O

Welton has, for the past ten years, worked in San Diego and Los Angeles as a film industry professional. Before that, he studied astronomy at SDSU and worked for some years as an engineer. From his earliest years, as the son of a local theater critic, he slept through some of the finest theater ever to come to San Diego.  He is known to have blown his retirement savings filming his adaptation of Dostoyevsky's Grand Inquisitor. Please don't ask him about this.

Lisa Burgess ( Costume Design )
aka Danger Design

Danger Design sews things because she can. Drawn to the ineffable smell of thrift- stores, where she spends much time procuring costumes for local theatres: Scripps Ranch, Compass, and anyone else who calls or e-mails her, for a daytime job she teaches 9th grade Rhetoric (because someone has to, right?) and boils sheep's heads for fun.

John Harris ( Stage Manager )
aka Danger Delbert

230 years on stage as an actor-singer. Performed in a funny little show at the Theatre on Sullivan St. in NY. 114 years as an ABC writer-producer. Another 10 year penalty as field producer for ABC Sports. This makes for a loving, kind, gentle Stage Manager who loves little animals and grins a lot for no apparent reason. Wants to keep a bat as a family pet.

Lindsay Lawlor ( Special Effects )
aka Danger Dork

Lindsay is just some guy who likes to build things.  In one life he ran Laserium at the Space Theater, and in another he built a one ton walking talking robot giraffe which can be found at Electricgiraffe.com.  In between tinkering with various electronic projects, he finds the time to build things for friends, like the laser effects for this play.  Look for him in the future at such events as "Ray at Night" with his Electric Giraffe friend who is known as "Russell", and be sure to catch Russell in his all new form at the Ocean Beach Xmass Parade!

Zachary Mann ( Web Design )

Zach is usually proofreading other people's websites, so he was happy to volunteer his services for DangerHouse, writing code instead of reading it all day. When he isn't working or updating this site, Zach writes his own movie blog, "It's Okay With Me," and contributes to a friend's food blog, The Eaten Path.
